In an announcement made on Friday (18th), Caixa Econômica Federal reported that Mega-Sena will undergo changes in its drawing schedule. Starting next week, Mega-Sena draws will take place three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, beginning with draw 2,623 on Tuesday (August 22, 2023). Up until now, the game had draws only on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with exceptions for special weeks.

According to Caixa, this change aims to attract more bettors. "The addition of a weekly draw accelerates the growth of the prize, making it more appealing, especially for those seeking large awards," the institution highlighted in an official statement. However, it's worth noting that the odds and other game rules remain unchanged.

On the other hand, Dupla Sena draws will also see changes. From now on, draws for this game will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The first edition under the new schedule will occur on Monday (21) with the draw 2,557.

For those planning to bet on the next Mega-Sena draw, scheduled for Saturday (19), the prize is estimated at R$ 4 million. Bets can be made at any lottery shop accredited by Caixa or online until 7 pm (Brasília time) on the day of the draw. The minimum investment, which allows marking six numbers, is R$5.00.

These changes reflect Caixa's ongoing effort to refresh and enhance the country's lottery games, always aiming for a better experience for bettors.
